Three days later our Chinese Bell tree came out in a yellow flower. For the past ten years this tree had always produced red flowers. Comment: Hello John, I am speechless! Your words touched my heart and brought tears to my tired eyes. How you loved your Arline, your Gardner Angel, is manifest in every line you've written on each one of the pages. Yes, I read them all. Do I believe in signs, yes I do! Your mallard was indeed your Arline touching you at a moment when you most needed her. Let me tell you a little story. Yesterday marked two years since the passing of my dear mother, Georgianna. I suppose I keep searching for words of comfort and here you are today filling me with wonder. The day of Mom's funeral I prayed to God to give me a sign she was all right. Mom had suffered from dementia and I cared for her for an entire year before she passed. I was saddened to have to place her in a nursing home because I just could not cope with her illness any longer. The day of her funeral was a blue sparkling day. As we left the chapel up above the church was a cloud formation in the shape of a cross. I cried out to my sister to look. See? Mom was indeed there and telling us she was fine and in heaven with our father. So, you see, yes, I believe in signs.
